She was not one of my favorites. Didn't she have an affair with Louis VI? I read that in Susan Nagels's book about Marie-Therese. Though, another book I read about Marie Antoinette, said nothing about the subject. I am thinking , loyalty was not so huge back in the 1700s

Vickie, Nagel only supposes Louis XVI was Polignac's lover at one point. Apparently a chambermaid was also enjoyed his charms. No scholars (reputable or otherwise)have ever made such ludicrous suggestions and I don't think Nagel names any new source(s) for this guesswork.
Seems like he was quite the ladies man! Scandelous!
