Attend a Chasse Royale á Versailles

Nicolas Lancret, The Picnic after the Hunt. Oil on canvas c. 1740. The National Gallery of Art (Washington, D.C.)

An event is being held today in the forest of Versailles, yes, a Chasse Royale! But you can attend if you want, admission is free because it is all happening in....Second Life!

Versailles has recently been rebuilt in Second Life and the entire space is very impressive.  The design of the building and even the textures are spot on. Worth logging in and checking out the building and gardens.

Hey there, I'm a current user of Secondlife, and part of the court of Versailles in it. At court I'm known as Francois de Quelen, and I generally take pictures of the accurate rooms, and interesting parts of the structure. I have some of my pictures uploaded in this Album, "Versailles Collect"

    I hope you enjoy!
    Best Regards!

  4. Wow, this looks much better than I thought it could. I guess second life is improving. I have seen a replica of Versailles in 2L on youtube some years ago and thought it was awful, but this looks really good. Have to post your side in our Marie Antoinett e Forum, if you don't mind!

  5. @The Lady Ship I thought the same thing! I know there have been many upgrades and this recent 'palace of Versailles' is newly constructed on the site.

    Please share away! :o)
