  5. Marguerite Gerard never married. You're saying she did a self-portrait showing her painting her husband? You must have some other painter in mind.

    1. Hi Jan, thanks for the comment. This is an older post and I believe I had pulled the title information from art stor. I just double checked my source, the official title is "Portrait of an Artist in her Studio" so possibly not Marguerite at all!
