If any of you are Absolutely Fabulous fans you might recognize Jennifer Saunders. (Who also played Fairy Godmother in Shrek 2)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnG8op_ua-k&feature=relatedrevwargirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00325409737701453097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5265120836698023886.post-47324080672747253282010-08-31T21:08:10.687-04:002010-08-31T21:08:10.687-04:00the problem with period films made in the 20's...the problem with period films made in the 20's to the 60's is that the people resemble the era they are making the film in and just happen to be wearing period costumes.

For instance her hairstyle is way too 30's and her makeup is as well (pencil eyebrows??? Really? Soooo 30's inspired). I hate watching greek films from the 60's because the women are wearing false eyelashes and have twiggy inspired makeup with nude lips (seriously?) That's not Grecian at all. Or when they show 60's or 50's films on southern women in the civil war era, they'll be wearing modern bouffants instead of the more georgian ones we know they wore in real life (example: Roots).

I know I should critique acting more but to me theatre is more about acting and movies are more about visual effects.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5265120836698023886.post-42384159748385388602010-08-31T12:16:34.772-04:002010-08-31T12:16:34.772-04:00You should also check out the glamourous Dolores D...You should also check out the glamourous Dolores Del Rio as Mme du Barry.
